Women's Health Physical Therapy
Women's health physical therapy is focused on health conditions specifically related to women and their quality of life. Our therapists have attended extensive course work and post-professional training and have a passion for helping women achieve their goals. Women's health physical therapy is offered at two Northwest Rehab locations, including a "women's only" clinic at Willow Creek.
Conditions treated include:
- Colorectal conditions and constipation
- Diastasis recti (abdominal separation)
- Fecal incontinence
- Organ prolapse
- Pain with intercourse
- Pelvic pain
- Pre- and post-partum pelvic pain
- Pre - and post-partum issues such as back pain and sciatica
- Scar tissue concerns
- Tailbone pain
- Urine leakage when coughing, sneezing or laughing
- Uncontrollable urge to urinate or feeling you need to urinate frequently
Therapy services include:
- Behavioral and lifestyle education
- Biofeedback program
- Bladder and food diaries
- Core stabilization and strengthening exercises
- Electrical stimulation
- Gender inclusive care
- Manual therapy
- Pelvic floor exercises
- Postural education
- Relaxation techniques
