Northwest Health Hosting Blood Drives in May
5/23/2023
Northwest Health will host three blood drives during the month of May. The bloodmobile will be parked at the Springdale, Johnson and Fayetteville hospital locations for the community to stop by and donate.
Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) is the only non-profit blood, platelet, and plasma provider for all Northwest Health hospitals and more than 40 other healthcare facilities in the Ozarks.
The upcoming blood drives will be:
- May 25 – 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Northwest Medical Center – Springdale’s parking lot inside the Bloodmobile.
-
May 31 – 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. inside the Bloodmobile at Willow Creek Women’s Hospital’s parking lot.
- May 31 – 2 p.m.-4:30 p.m. at Northwest Health Physicians’ Specialty Hospital parking lot inside the Bloodmobile.
To be eligible to give blood, you must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and present a valid photo ID. Before the blood drive, donors are asked to take a few steps to ensure that donations operate smoothly on the day of the drive:
- Drink plenty of water or juice the night and morning before you donate.
- Eat a well-balanced meal around 2-3 hours before giving.
- Bring your photo identification: This is now required for all donors.
