6/24/2020
A graduation ceremony for an RN Residency Class at Northwest Health is being held Friday, June 26, at 11 am at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. Thirty-two nurses will graduate from the program.
The RN residency program at Northwest Health was launched in 2019 to ensure that new graduate nurses can transition to independent practice with competence, confidence and commitment.
“The program content is built on an evidence-based curriculum and is highly interactive and supportive,” said Danny Frost, BSN, RN, director of nurse residency and education. “Northwest Health nurse leaders mentor and guide the new graduate in mastering the challenges of changes in the healthcare delivery system, advances in treatment and technologies, and increasing patient acuity. The 12-month program includes knowledge and competency assessments, confidence surveys, virtual simulation, married-state preceptorship and monthly live sessions with other residents, in addition to other learning opportunities.”
Each participant also develops a special project.
The deadline to apply to join the September 2020 RN Residency 12-month program is July 1. For more information, call (479) 757-5594 or visit the careers section of our website.
