Northwest Health receives Arkansas Governor’s Quality Award
10/3/2018
(SPRINGDALE, AR) – Oct. 2, 2018— Northwest Health was one of just twenty-five organizations from throughout the state to be presented an Arkansas Governor’s Quality Award by Governor Asa Hutchinson during the 24th Annual Awards Celebration for the Governor’s Quality Award Program held in September in Little Rock.
The Challenge level – for which Northwest Health was recognized – is the starting point for any organization expressing interest in adopting and applying quality principles as defined by the seven categories of the Baldrige Excellence Framework criteria.
The goal of the Governor’s Quality Award Program is to encourage Arkansas organizations – all businesses, not just healthcare – to engage in continuous quality improvement, which leads to performance excellence. The program is dedicated to assist in building a strong infrastructure for Arkansas businesses. That dedication is reflected in the program’s vision to be a catalyst for excellence in organizational performance.
“I’m so proud of our staff, and want to congratulate every employee, medical staff member, and volunteer who makes it possible for us to provide exceptional care,” said Market Chief Executive Officer Denten Park. “It is because of their tireless efforts, and continued focus on improving quality, that we were able to earn this recognition.”
The Chairman of the Board of the Governor’s Quality Award program is Myla Petree, NEMA plant manager, ABB. Organizations and companies interested in participating in the program should contact Governor’s Quality Award Executive Director Sue Weatter with the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce by calling (501) 372-2222 or go to www.arkansas-quality.org.
