Northwest Health hosting three blood drives on July 26-27

Northwest Health will host three blood drives July 26-27. The bloodmobile will be parked at the Johnson and Fayetteville hospital locations for the community to stop by and donate. 

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is the only non-profit blood, platelet, and plasma provider for all Northwest Health hospitals and more than 40 other healthcare facilities in the Ozarks.

The upcoming blood drives are scheduled for: 

• July 26 – 8:30-11:30 a.m. at Northwest Health Physicians’ Specialty Hospital parking lot inside the Bloodmobile.

• July 26 – 2-4:30 p.m. inside the Bloodmobile at Willow Creek Women’s Hospital’s parking lot, 4301 Greathouse Springs Road. 

• July 27 – 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Northwest Medical Center – Springdale’s parking lot inside the Bloodmobile.

 

To be eligible to give blood, you must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and present a valid photo ID. Before the blood drive, donors are asked to take a few steps to ensure that donations operate smoothly on the day of the drive:

1. Drink plenty of water or juice the night and morning before you donate.

2. Eat a well-balanced meal around 2-3 hours before giving.

3. Bring your photo identification: This is now required for all donors.
