3/17/2023
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Northwest Health Physicians’ Specialty Hospital (NWHPSH) and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) recently entered into a co-management agreement for orthopedic services at the hospital.
NWHPSH orthopedic services provide inpatient and outpatient services, including total joint replacement procedures, spine surgery and related education and support services as part of the hospital’s ongoing efforts to deliver high quality orthopedic care. The hospital received The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for Advanced Total Joint Replacement.
Under the agreement, UAMS will provide leadership in the management of clinical, operational and administrative services for the NWHPSH orthopedic service line. Physicians from both UAMS and PSH will serve on a co-management committee designated to develop, implement and monitor orthopedic clinical and operational goals. Together, NWHPSH and UAMS physicians will set and achieve orthopedic performance metrics to further enhance the quality of services.
“We are pleased to be working with UAMS to strengthen our orthopedic service line,” said Juli McWhorter, chief executive officer at NWHPSH. “Identifying and implementing key performance metrics for Northwest Health Physicians’ Specialty Hospital will ensure our patients continue to receive quality care in a safe and efficient environment.”
