Hans Driessnack announced as CEO of Northwest Medical Center-Springdale

SPRINGDALE, ARK (November 13, 2018) — Hans Driessnack has accepted the position of CEO for Northwest Medical Center-Springdale, effective December 3, according to Denten Park, Market Chief Executive Officer for Northwest Health. Driessnack comes to the five-hospital network from Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, IL, where he has served as COO since 2017.
Driessnack has held executive leadership positions in Albuquerque, NM; Galesburg, IL; and Marion, IL, serving at two facilities associated with Lovelace Health System, then at Galesburg Cottage Hospital before moving to Heartland.
“Hans has valuable experience in teaching 6 Sigma and other continuous quality improvement methodologies that help to reinforce positive culture development,” said Park. “Focusing on employee engagement and service line development are also key strengths. His experiences and his drive will add value as we seek to grow services, enhance quality and exceed patients’ expectations in Springdale and throughout Northwest Health.”
Dr. Lance Manning, Chief of the Medical Staff, said: “We’re very excited about bringing Hans to Springdale. He’s going to be a dynamic leader for our Springdale campus as we continue to grow services and enhance the quality of care.”
Driessnack earned a bachelor’s of science degree, majoring in hospitality management and minoring in German, at the University of Alabama. He earned an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
Integrally involved in the communities where he’s lived, Driessnack has been a board member for United Way of Knox County, Southern Illinois University Health Care Management School, and a member of Rotary Club. He has also served as a Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award Examiner.
He and his wife, Beth, are moving here with their two children.
“I’m excited to come to Springdale to work with the team to improve the quality of lives of the people in the community we serve,” said Driessnack. “A hospital is only as strong as its relationship with the community, so my goal is to strengthen these relationships through enriching every life we encounter.”
