Biography
Christopher A. Menendez, M.D., FACS, an El Dorado, AR, native, is dedicated to the surgical treatment of breast disease, specifically breast cancer, and has been in practice for more than 15 years. He has advanced certification and training in breast cancer surgery. Dr. Menendez was the first surgeon in the state of Arkansas to use a non-radioactive wire-free localization system during breast conservation surgeries.
He received his medical education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. After his general surgery residency at the Mt. Sinai-Cabrini program in New York City, Dr. Menendez completed a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Dr. Menendez is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also has breast ultrasound and stereotactic breast biopsy certifications from the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
