Community Commitment
At Northwest Health, residents throughout Northwest Arkansas can receive quality care that helps them stay healthy and live well. With five hospitals, three urgent care centers and numerous affiliated physician clinics, Northwest Health is the largest health system in Northwest Arkansas. As a tax-paying healthcare provider committed to investing in people, we help create better places to live, work and play.
We invest in our employees as well as in the technology and services that help make quality care possible. We also invest in our community. Throughout 2018, Northwest Health had an economic impact that saw more than $232 million flowing into the communities we serve.
We help enrich our communities through tax dollars. In 2018 alone, we paid more than $6 million in local taxes – funds that were allocated by elected officials. As a result, these funds had a direct impact on the public projects and the shared spaces we all enjoy, like better parks and smoother roads. Our communities are great places to work, and getting better every day.
We are also proud to work with organizations that share our commitment to health and wellness, supporting organizations like the American Heart Association, Jackson L. Graves Foundation and the Susan G. Komen Foundation, among others.
The high level of care at Northwest Health can be felt far beyond our walls. In 2018 alone, we contributed more than $60 million in charitable and uncompensated care.
The benefits received by the communities and people we serve throughout Northwest Arkansas are numerous. We are pleased to be able to have a significant impact in making this an even better place to live, work, play and serve.
