Interventional Radiology
Interventional radiology procedures have less risk, less pain and less recovery time compared to open surgery. Interventional radiologists are board certified physicians who specialize in minimally invasive, targeted treatments performed using imaging for guidance. Some common diseases interventional radiologists treat are peripheral arterial disease, uterine fibroids, spinal fractures, varicose veins, and stroke. Northwest Health System has two interventional radiologists on the medical staff.
