Cardiac Stress Testing

A stress test measures the heart and its capacity to receive blood when it has to work hard. A normal heart is able to increase its pumping capacity when it is under stress. There are several ways to do stress testing of the heart, and just as many ways to see how the heart responds to this stress. These range from walking on a treadmill to the administration of drugs to artificially stimulate a heart under stress.
