Willow Creek is Arkansas’ first and only full-service women’s health provider. The all-in-one labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum birthing suites enable the birth to take place in a comfortable and reassuring environment with a warm, family atmosphere. The suites are decorated and furnished to make the new family feel right at home. There is a television, couch, chairs, a place for the new mother’s coach to sleep, and other amenities.

Because time is of the essence when babies have decided to arrive, it is important that mothers know their physician is close. The physicians who practice at Willow Creek have their offices less than three minutes away, and some are even in the hospital building so they are quickly available. Every eligible labor and delivery nurse at both hospitals is certified in fetal monitoring by the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses. These highly specialized staff members also receive on-going training on fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation.

Should your infant be born sick, premature or with an extremely low birth weight, he or she will receive round-the-clock care in Northwest Health’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Northwest Medical Center - Springdale. As the largest Level III C neonatal facility in the region, the NICU has board certified neonatologists and neonatal nurses who provide exceptional care for the most delicate of patients.

Both Willow Creek Women's Hospital and Northwest Medical Center - Bentonville offer a number of educational programs that help prepare to-be mothers, their coaches and families for childbirth. Discussed in the basic childbirth class are relaxation and breathing techniques, what to expect during labor and delivery, the coach’s role, developing a birth plan, hospital care of mother and newborn, and early parenthood.

Other educational programs address Cesarean delivery; siblings and the new baby; breastfeeding; prenatal and postpartum nutrition; prenatal and postpartum exercise; basic care for the newborn; and infant safety and CPR. All of these classes help the family to learn about infant care and gain confidence by doing it.

At Willow Creek Women’s Hospital our goal is to provide safe, quality health care that recognizes, focuses on, and adapts to both the physical and psychological needs of the new mother, the newborn and the family.
