Urology
Urology focuses on the urinary tracts of males and females, and on the reproductive system of males. Since the urinary and reproductive tracts are close together, disorders of one often affect the other. The organs covered by urology include the kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra, and the male reproductive organs (testes, epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate and penis).
The urology staff at Northwest Health System performs multiple urologic surgeries every year, including minor cystoscopic procedures, as well as prostate and kidney procedures.
We also offer minimally invasive procedures, such as the state-of-the-art da Vinci Prostatectomy, which is the fastest growing treatment for prostate cancer.
Northwest Health also offers advanced laparoscopic procedures, which are minimally invasive and often reduce recovery times.
