Rehab in the Water

Northwest Rehab has been providing Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation at the Schmeiding Center and at the Agility Center, the first aquatic rehab pool in Benton County. Patients often see faster improvements and tolerate more activity in the aquatic setting due to a decrease in stress on the body in the pool vs. land-based exercise. Aquatic programs are especially beneficial for patients who have balance problems, arthritis, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, joint replacement, neck and back pain and orthopedic dysfunction.

Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

Treatments is specialized for women and men who have urinary or bowel incontinence and/or leakage. Treatment may consist of biofeedback, pelvic floor muscle strengthening, and bladder retaining.

Lymphedema

Lymphedema is swelling usually in the extremities that is high protein in nature and a result of damage to or loss of lymph nodes and/or lymphatic vessels. Treatment is specific and individualized by a certified lymphedema therapist and may consist of manual lymphatic drainage or massage, compression and exercise.
