WIRELESS INTERNET

Northwest Health System is pleased to provide our patients and their families with free wireless internet
(Wi-Fi) access at Northwest Medical Center - Bentonville and Northwest Medical Center - Springdale. Wi-Fi is available for personal computers with wireless capability. Northwest Health System does not provide laptop computers.

Quick Start Instructions
A wireless-enabled device with Wi-Fi (802.11) card is required. Your wireless device should automatically detect the wireless network.  This card can be built into your wireless-enabled device or can be used as a separate wireless network interface card. If not, follow the additional steps listed below. The steps may vary according to your specific hardware and software versions:

1.  Make sure your wireless adapter is enabled

  2. Create a new wireless profile using the SSID “Patient” (case-sensitive)

3.  A WEP key is not used. Disable all encryption for this profile

4. Set the WLAN type to Infrastructure or 802.11

5. Make sure that the DHCP for your wireless adapter is ON
6. Set the TCP/IP properties for your wireless adapter to Obtain an IP  

    address automatically
