Visitors
Visitation Guidelines
We realize it is important to have your family and loved ones near during your hospitalization so we try to offer visitation periods convenient to everyone involved with your care. Visiting hours and regulations are available at the information desk in the front lobby. We ask visitors to respect the following guidelines:
- Visits should be limited to 15 minutes
- Visiting hours for our critical care, intensive care and surgical intensive care units are posted in the units. All guests are asked to check-in with the volunteers in the waiting areas.
- Young children must be under close adult supervision
- Visitors should not sit on the patient's bed
- No more than two visitors are allowed at the bedside at one time. Visitors in semi-private rooms should be considerate of both patients.
- All visitors should leave when visiting hours are over, at the request of the nurse or when treatment is administered
- Smoking is not permitted on the hospital grounds by patients, visitors or staff, nor are smoking materials allowed on campus, in compliance with JCAHO recommendations and Arkansas state law.
- Food should not be brought to patients because many are on special diets. Food prepared outside the restrictions of the prescribed diet could interfere with the patient's recovery.
Visitors are not permitted in operating rooms or nurseries. visitation of patients in isolation may be permitted at the discretion of the charge nurse.
Parking
Parking for patients and visitors is available in the lots in front of the hospital by the main entrance. Parking is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All parking is free. Patient and visitors are cautioned not to park in the reserved areas or certain designated areas. Please be sure to lock your car.
Cafeteria
Our cafeterias at Northwest Medical Center - Bentonville and Northwest Medical Center - Springdale offer a wide selection of nutritiously prepared, tasty meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Please have cash, credit and debit cards accepted. Serving hours are posted at the cafeteria entrance.
Guest House
Northwest Medical Center - Springdale has a Guest House with hotel-like accomodations on the fifth floor of Tower I. Family members or friends can stay close to their loved ones in a comfortable hotel-style room just an elevator ride away from your room. The Guest House is operated by the Northwest Medical Center Auxiliary.
