Northwest Health System raises cardiac diagnosis and treatment to a whole new level. We offer the most advanced Cardiac Cath Lab in Arkansas, and provides sharper X-ray images, reduced radiation exposure, and faster imaging times. Northwest Health System employs more Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists than any other cardiac catheterization lab in Northwest Arkansas.

At our Springdale campus, the Allura FD20 provides increased quality and detail to images that often allows safe and effective alternatives to surgery for shorter hospital stays, reduced recovery times, less pain (no large incisions) and minimal surgical scarring. Northwest Medical Center - Bentonville is the only facility in Northwest Arkansas to offer Intravascular Ultrasound with Virtual Histology. A revolutionary technology, the IVUS with VH allows cardiologists to classify the composition of plaque build-up in arteries and identify patients who are at greater risk for a massive heart attack. By giving cardiologists clear pictures of a patient's plaque composition, doctors can identify the percentages of "vulnerable" and "non-vulnerable" plaque in a clogged artery.
