Mark Bethell Chief Operating Officer, Northwest Medical Center - Bentonville and Northwest Medical Center - Willow Creek Women's Hospital

At NMC-Bentonville, Mark has overseen the expansion of the cardiovascular program, creation of a Hospitalist program, improving patient satisfaction scores, and the creation of multiple programs in response to issues that are facing our community, such as childhood obesity and Legs for Life.  Mark also helps recruit physicians to Northwest Arkansas to help meet our growing community’s need for physicians.

 

Mark has a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration in Acute and Ambulatory Care from the George Washington University, Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia.

 

Mark currently serves on the Bentonville/Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, YMCA Board of Directors, and the North Arkansas Symphony. He was an American Diabetes Association candidate for Kiss-A-Pig 2007 and the 2008 campaign manager for Northwest Health System's candidate. He also participated this year in United Way’s “Day of Caring,” and is on the Steering Committee for Decision Point. Mark plays an integral role in his company’s involvement in the community, including support of the American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association and the American Diabetes Association.
